Overview
A Mental Health First Aider Certificate is the most comprehensive course in the MHFA England portfolio. It requires completion of a two-day virtual course. The content is a mixture of presentations, discussions, and group activities. A workbook and MHFA Manual are supplied as part of the course fees – both will be sent to your home address.
Anyone over the age of 16 can attend an MHFA England course but an interest in mental health and wellbeing is desirable. When you have completed the course, you will receive:
- Certificate of attendance to say you are a Mental Health First Aider.
- A comprehensive manual to refer to whenever you need it.
- A quick reference card for the Mental Health First Aid action plan.
- A workbook including a helpful toolkit to support your own mental health.
This is an online course delivered through the MHFA England Online Learning Hub.
Learning takes place across 2 weeks, and consists of four live training sessions, each with a complementary self-learning activity. Each session is built around a Mental Health First Aid action plan. See below for a detailed course structure.
We limit numbers to 16 people per course so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported whilst they learn.
